Master of Arts in Education

APSU offers an array of master's degree programs in the education field. The Master of Arts in Teaching degree program delivers instruction and preparation to teach elementary, secondary, or special education students. Students can complete initial teacher licensure requirements and earn master's degrees in as few as 15 months. Coursework includes field experience in public schools. Collaborative learning is garnered through face-to-face evening classes and online instruction.

Fast Track Terms

Courses for the master's degree program in education are serviced at APSU Fort Campbell campus that offers fast-track terms that last only 8 weeks. This allows students to complete courses at a faster pace.

E-rate Tuition Reduction for Online Students

The Master of Education with a concentration in advanced studies in teaching and learning is available through the Regents Online Degree Program (RODP). Because coursework for this program is completed online, out-of-state students receive APSU's eRate, a significantly lower tuition rate that is roughly half the normal cost of out-of-state tuition, or about one and a half times in-state tuition. To be eligible for eRate, students must be classified as nonresidents of Tennessee and they must be enrolled exclusively in online courses.
