Overview

Austin Peay State University's Online Master of Science in Health and Human Performance

APSU offers a Master of Science in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in health leadership and health administration. Offered entirely online, the program prepares businesspeople and health care professionals to fill leadership roles in the health care industry. The program, which may be completed in as few as 12 months, includes 30 semester-hours of coursework.

Health Leadership & Health Administration Concentration

Coursework for this degree path covers a variety of business topics from a healthcare perspective. From financial management to human resources, the coursework is designed to prepare students for success in the health care leadership positions.

Sports and Wellness Leadership Concentration

This program will prepare students to gain knowledge in the basics of human performance. They will learn about sport and wellness through classes such as exercise physiology, sport psychology, nutrition, and leadership. Students will also gain valuable experience in research and scientific writing.

E-rate Tuition Reduction for Online Students

Because coursework for this program is completed online, out-of-state students receive APSU's eRate, a significantly lower tuition rate that is roughly half the normal cost of out-of-state tuition, or about one and a half times in-state tuition. To be eligible for eRate, students must be classified as nonresidents of Tennessee and they must be enrolled exclusively in online courses.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have completed their bachelor's degree with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Students must submit their GRE scores and official transcripts from all colleges they attended.
