Overview

A Business Education for a New Kind of Leader

The Bentley University Graduate School of Business ranks among the top graduate business schools in the United States. Its programs are widely recognized for preparing graduates for the ever-changing complexities of global business. Wherever students may stand now in professional life, graduate study at Bentley University delivers expert preparation for what's next: launching a career, advancing in chosen fields, and breaking into new industries.

Graduate courses at Bentley emphasize the critical role that technology plays in all aspects of business; offer a variety of paths to gain hands-on experience both domestically and abroad; and are taught by faculty members who understand the specific needs of the marketplace.

Whether students are looking for communication, leadership, and other broad-based skills in management, or are hoping to gain specialized expertise in fields such as finance or marketing, Bentley has an MBA or MS program that answers the call.

3 MBA Programs--Each Uniquely Designed for Wherever Students Are

No matter where students are right now in their careers and lives, Bentley has an MBA program to take them further. The 3 MBA programs, 2 full-time and 1 part-time, are tailored to students' academic backgrounds and professional experiences.

The Bentley MBA

The Bentley MBA, launched in 2012, is a dramatic departure from traditional business education. Through a groundbreaking collaboration by faculty members in business and arts and sciences, the program engages students through a themed approach. Four themes -- innovation, value, environments, and leadership, all taught in a studio environment -- provide for dynamic learning that is practiced and forged in debate and experience. Additionally, the Bentley MBA incorporates 3 two-week field collaborations around the world where students work with host organizations to address an emerging or persistent challenge they face, while exploring the social role of business in a local culture.

The Emerging Leaders MBA

The Emerging Leaders MBA is designed for young professionals that are just entering the work force. Providing a firm grounding in business fundamentals, the opportunity to develop both the breadth of management education and depth in a specialized area of expertise, and corporate immersion projects including a 10-day global experience, the program provides students with the necessary skills to have an immediate impact in their early careers and to be prepared for every 'next'.

The Professional (Evening) MBA Program

The Professional MBA is designed with the working professional in mind. This evening MBA program offers flexibility, choice, and the possibility of credit for prior academic work. Students have opportunities to customize their MBAs with concentrations by choosing electives in a specialty or choosing to have general MBAs. This is an ideal program for those who are looking to advance in their careers or considering new career options. The program is structured to help minimize students' time away from the home and office.

7 MS Programs -- Students Get the Expertise They Need Today

This suite of programs helps students develop expertise in specific disciplines, to position them for management roles and for leading organizations. Students learn from faculty members who have deep knowledge in their respective fields and firm grasps of best practices and emerging challenges.

MS in Accountancy

The MS in Accountancy (MSA) program has earned national rankings from "US News & World Report" and is one of the few graduate programs to earn a separate accreditation in accountancy from AACSB International. The distinction means that the Bentley MSA program fulfills the academic requirement to become a licensed CPA in Massachusetts and many other states, regardless of students' previous academic backgrounds. Additionally, The Howard A. Winer Accounting Center for Electronic Learning and Business Measurement (ACELAB) provides graduate students opportunities to work on fast-paced accounting tutorials or state-of-the-art software programs such as SAP or ACL. Core courses in this program are available online.

MS in Finance

Developed in collaboration with the corporate community, the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program integrates mathematics, economics, accounting, and associated disciplines with the theories and applications of finance.

Beyond financial theory, students develop the ability to analyze the relevant issues, consider options, and make informed decisions. Much like today's workplace, the MSF curriculum is infused with technology, including one of the largest trading rooms in the country, which gives graduates a competitive edge in the job market.

MS in Financial Planning

The Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) program at Bentley enhances careers in personal financial planning, income tax and estate planning, retirement planning, law, investments, insurance, employee benefits, human resources, and banking. Students will learn to help individuals achieve their financial goals through proper planning and wealth management. All courses in this program are available online.

MS in Human Factors in Information Design

The MS in Human Factors in Information Design (MSHFID) is the largest program of its kind in the country and one of the nation's premier user-experience programs. The program combines a deep understanding of human behavior and perception to inform product design and optimize the user experience. Graduates have the ability to move quickly from research and data to innovative design solutions. This innovative program is housed within a business school, giving students the ability to see the role that design plays in the larger organizational structure. This program may be completed in Waltham (themain campus) or online, and is also available in San Francisco.

MS in Information Technology

The MS in Information Technology (MSIT) prepares professionals for careers that require the integration of information systems knowledge with a strong understanding of the global business environment. A unique resource, the Computer Information Systems Department's "Sandbox" (the "Sandbox" for short) is a place for learning and technology. The term "Sandbox" in the industry refers to an environment for experimentation and trying new things. That's the school's vision -- to create an inviting, collaborative space for exploring and learning new technologies. At the completion of the MSIT program, graduates often start to work as consultants, risk analysts, business analysts, systems analysts, project managers, or systems architects, and advance quickly in technical and managerial careers. Students can combine this degree with a certificate in business analytics.

MS in Marketing Analytics

The Master of Science in Marketing Analytics (MSMA) program offers hands-on exposure to advanced marketing technologies, with a firm grounding in the essentials of strategic marketing for an information economy. Developed in consultation with marketing, database, and market research firms, the MSMA develops the fundamental skills required of marketing professionals. The Center for Marketing Technology is an extraordinary teaching resource that enables faculty members to provide students with hands-on experience with a broad range of new and evolving technological tools for marketing. Students will learn to use data to develop successful promotional campaigns. Students can combine this degree with a certificate in business analytics.

MS in Taxation

The MS in Taxation (MST) is one of the largest graduate tax programs in the country, with more than 3,000 alumni. The MST prepares students to be professional tax advisers and consultants, tax executives in private and public enterprises, and leaders in the field. Instructors are working professionals who practice what they teach. All courses in this program are available online.
