Brandeis International Business School focuses on giving its students an international experience that is built into its programs through partnerships with major international businesses and schools.

Brandeis International Business School is a professional school that teaches and researches global economic policy, finance, and management. Its competitive programs attract students from around the globe, teach them leading-edge theories on international business and policy, and provide multinational immersion experiences. IBS strives to help transform its students' worldview as well as assist them in developing insights and skills that will shape the world's future.

The institution strives to keep classes small, informal, and interactive so that students can have a more direct, hands-on learning experience. Experts in the fields of international business, economics, finance, banking, consulting, and investing teach the programs. In addition, through the school's CEO forums, research institutes, and informal class meetings, students have access to corporate connections, young alumni, and senior executives who operate in the many Boston-area corporations.

The Boston, Massachusetts area, a Truly Exciting College Environment, Is the Home of Brandeis University

Boston, Massachusetts, is known for its rich academic atmosphere. Owing to nearly three dozen colleges and universities positioned in and around the city, there are more than 250,000 students residing in the environs of greater Boston. An abundance of restaurants, clubs, entertainment options, sports venues, and a wide variety of other activities are available to those students.

Boston offers a multitude of eateries, restaurants, and cafes that target the throngs of college students who attend Brandeis and other universities. Everything from hamburgers and gooey, hot pizza to truly authentic Italian food and Middle Eastern cuisine is available. Boston is host to several world-famous annual events, such as its famous First Night, the Boston Marathon, and the Fourth of July celebrations. Students can join the locals as they enjoy such seasonal activities as springtime's Ducking Day Parade, Lilac Sunday, and autumn's Head of the Charles Regatta. In the sports realm, Boston is the home to renowned professional teams, including basketball's Celtics, baseball's Red Sox, football's Patriots, and hockey's Bruins.

With its archetypical New England weather, Boston has humid, sultry summers; frigid winters; and stunning, colorful autumns teeming with the changing leaves of deciduous trees. Brandeis students find the city easy to navigate via its intricate system of mass transit that includes subways, buses, commuter rail, and boats. Branching out further, students can easily explore the rest of Massachusetts and its New England neighbors, enjoying sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast and hiking and skiing in the nearby mountains.

All told, student activities encompass almost twenty service organizations, more than thirty performing groups, about fifteen spiritual and religious groups, and over ten student publications. Interested students can get involved in the Argentine Tango Society or the Bellydance Ensemble, or they can join other students who share their favorite pastimes ranging from comic books or poetry to juggling, Frisbee, or the culinary arts.

There are about thirty-five physical education classes offered every semester. The thirteen intramural programs and twenty-two club sports have their own unique levels of competition. Brandeis University's varsity athletic program has twenty-one teams competing in twelve sports within the NCAA's Division III.

When thoughts turn to even more serious matters, students can utilize the Hiatt Career Center, which helps students transition their unique personal backgrounds and solid liberal arts education into bright professional careers
