Overview

Grand Canyon University - A Christian University Leading To Success

Since 1949, Grand Canyon University has been helping students find their purpose and achieve their potential by preparing them to pursue their chosen careers, advance in their current careers, or change careers and enter into different fields. As a Christian university, GCU also encourages students to find their purpose in Christ, with an emphasis on applying Christian values and ethics to their studies and to the workplace. GCU's online programs allow students to study at the times and places they choose while still enjoying the close connection with their classmates and instructors via online discussions. But unlike exclusively online universities, Grand Canyon University's programs are supported by the integrity and prestige of a traditional campus. The university's dynamic courses are appropriately sized for each content area and offer engaging interaction with classmates as well as individual attention from instructors who care about students' successes.

College of Doctoral Studies

The doctoral programs at GCU are conveniently offered online, with 2 face-to-face residency experiences. Grand Canyon University provides a quality online learning system that allows learners to study at the times that work best for their demanding schedules. The doctoral programs respond to the needs of a global society and learners find the programs both rewarding and challenging.

College of Education

The degree programs reflect national standards, which are embedded throughout the education curriculum in order to produce experts in the field of education. GCU offers a variety of teacher education programs that focus on early childhood, elementary, secondary, special education, and TESOL to name a few.

Ken Blanchard College of Business

The Ken Blanchard College of Business offers programs that integrate proven leadership and values-based management concepts. Most of the business programs are available online and at the GCU campus, located in the heart of Phoenix. With a curriculum that explores many of Ken Blanchard's proven business techniques, students gain real-world business experience that can be immediately applied in today's global marketplace.

College of Nursing and Health Care Professions

Set in an environment that provides extensive hands-on training, the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions provides a low student-to-teacher ratio, quality nursing simulations, and an outstanding human dissection and anatomy program. GCU nursing students are continually asked to make a connection between what is learned, its relevance, and its application. Students are then able to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned directly to their nursing jobs

College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in liberal arts as well as health sciences. With programs that include those in "Justice Studies," "Public Health," "Athletic Training," "Medical Imaging," "Health Care Administration," "Counseling," and "Psychology," students can choose a degree program that best aligns with their personal and career goals.
