Locations

Students can enroll in courses in Kennesaw, Cobb Galleria, or in Dalton.

On-campus courses are offered both at the KSU Center with its executive-style classrooms and at the state of the art Burruss Building. Most on-campus courses are offered on Mondays through Thursdays, starting at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

The Galleria location is housed within the INPO Building of the Galleria complex. Classes are available Monday through Thursday, starting at 6:00 PM.

Students can enroll in the Dalton M.B.A. degree program. Classes are offered on the Dalton College State Campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays in a lock step program.

Curriculum

The world-class M.B.A. degree program curriculum is designed to improve students' business acumen. The foundation of the Coles M.B.A. program consists of 7 required courses: 6 core courses and 1 capstone. In addition to the 7 required courses, students must take 5 electives, 1 of which must be international in content.

Electives

Students can choose to concentrate their degrees in the following areas: general management, operations, finance, economics, marketing, entrepreneurship, business information systems, international business and human resources. One of the electives (3 credit hours) must be an international course.

Online M.B.A. classes offered anywhere a student needs to be.

The Coles College of Business WebMBA program offers qualified and highly motivated professionals the opportunity to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree through online education. Students will experience the rigor and commitment to quality of our traditional campus programs without the constraints of a regimented classroom schedule.

By enrolling into the WebMBA at Kennesaw State University, students will have access to the same services as participants in other Coles M.B.A. programs, including career services, on-campus events, and networking opportunities. That's why the Coles M.B.A. program was recently ranked 1st in Georgia among public institutions and 22nd in the nation by "Bloomberg Businessweek."

Program Highlights

- Recognition - The KSU WebMBA was ranked in the top 20 "Best Buys" on GetEducated.com for KSU's quality and competitive pricing among AACSB programs.

- Structure - The program relies primarily on virtual team-based learning; after an initial on-site 2-day orientation, all activities are exclusively online.

- Content - The courses in the KSU WebMBA program have the same learning objectives as equivalent in-class courses. They cover the same topics and typically use the same textbooks and course materials. The only difference is the instructional medium.

- Program - For 5 consecutive terms, students take 2 courses each in a lock-step schedule. The schedule leads to graduation in about 20 months.

M.B.A.-M.S.I.S. Degree Program

The Coles College of Business offers a dual degree program leading to both the Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Information Systems designations. This dual degree program has been designed for leaders who have an increasing need to integrate sophisticated management practices with strong technology skills. The programs are completed in 51 credit hours rather than the 72 hours that would be necessary if the degrees were pursued separately.

More specifically, this program prepares students for competitive leadership and managerial positions in careers requiring extensive understanding of an interaction with information technology. These different skill sets intersect in areas such as global project management, IT strategy and policy, IT procurement, and contracting IT solutions. This degree program allows students to earn the 2 master's degrees in a seamless way, and is a stepping stone in the career path to a chief information officer (CIO) or technology entrepreneur.

A partnership between the Coles College of Business and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences offers qualified students the opportunity to concurrently pursue a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Public Administration degree. The programs are completed in 51 credit hours rather than the 72 hours that would be necessary if the degrees were pursued separately.

This M.B.A.-M.P.A. dual degree program prepares graduates for careers at the increasingly intense intersections of these 2 sectors. At the same time governmental agencies are striving to be more customer-friendly, service-minded, and organizationally efficient, many industries (including finance and banking, health care, and natural resource utilization) are more reliant on and responsive to governmental agencies than ever before. These trends make knowledge of both business and government crucial for success in many public and private organizations.
