MPH Degree and Peace Corps Service
The Loma Linda University School of Public Health offers students 2 programs that combine graduate study with Peace Corps service: Master's International and Fellows USA.

He is the chair of the Department of Nutrition and a professor in the program. He is also a professor in the School of Medicine at Loma Linda University.
Dr. Sabate was the principal investigator on a research study that directly linked the consumption of walnuts to reductions in serum cholesterol, published by "The New England Journal of Medicine."
He continues to study the relationship between almonds, pecans, and walnuts and heart disease risk factors. Dr. Sabate has also conducted significant research on vegetarian nutrition.
