Monmouth University offers a wide variety of degree and certificate programs to meet the needs of the workforce, while maintaining the level of academic excellence that has become a hallmark of a Monmouth education:

A Master of Science (MS) is available in homeland security (fully online, new for Fall 2013) and mental health counseling.

- The Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This is the first mental health counseling program in the State of New Jersey to be accredited. The RN to MSN direct program gives nurses who already have RN licenses fast-track options to earn an MSN degree. Additionally, post-master's certificates are available for nurses seeking preparation as adult and gerontological nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, nurse administrators, family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioners, and nurse educators.

- The School of Science awards Master of Science (MS) degrees in computer science and software engineering. Three graduate certificates are also available in computer science software design and development, software development, and software engineering.

- The School of Social Work offers a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and a post-master's certificate in play therapy. The MSW features a track in international and community development, as well as a track in clinical practice with families and children.

- The School of Education offers two programs leading to master's degrees: the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and the Master of Science in Education (MSEd). An accelerated MAT program is available, as are various accelerated endorsement programs.

- The MSEd program includes a variety of tracks and concentrations, including principal, principal-school administrator, reading specialist, school counseling, student affairs and college counseling, and special education. Within special education, four tracks are offered: autism (fully online), learning disabilities teacher-consultant, teaching in inclusive settings, and teacher of students with disabilities.
