Flexible Graduate Programs at Mount Aloysius College

Mount Aloysius College offers a variety of graduate programs to meet the needs of adult learners. Convenient class locations; on campus and blended class formats; and year-round evening classes all allow students to complete their programs at their own pace.

The graduate programs also provide cutting-edge training, personalized attention, and valuable networking opportunities. As a result, students graduate with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to advance their careers, take on leadership roles, and contribute to society.

Master of Business Administration Program

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program at Mount Aloysius College creates ethical business leaders and professionals capable of successfully operating businesses in volatile regulatory settings and global environments.

The program consists of 24 credits of core courses and 12 credits of concentration courses in 1 of the following areas: accounting, health and human services administration, or project management.

Master of Science in Behavioral Specialist Consulting Program

The Master of Science (MS) in Behavioral Specialist Consulting program prepares students for licensure as behavioral specialists in the state of Pennsylvania. Its 36-credit curriculum provides a strong foundation in theory, research methodology, and applied methods, as well as social, developmental, cognitive, and personality psychology.

Courses include "Research Methods," "Quantitative Data Analysis," "Advanced Cognitive Psychology," and "Advanced Social Psychology." Other courses include "Theories of Personality," "Psychological Tests and Measures," "Behavioral Specialist Training," and "Practicum."

Students graduate fully-prepared to advance their current careers or pursue positions in a wide array of social service agencies such as correctional facilities, drug/alcohol treatment centers, health care institutions, and mental health centers.

Master of Science in Community Counseling Program

The MS in Community Counseling program prepares students for national certification and professional licensure in state of Pennsylvania. The program's curriculum consists of 48 credits of courses including a practicum and internships. To apply for licensure, 12 additional credits of graduate-level counseling courses are taken.

The curriculum prepares students for leadership roles in the field. It also trains them to provide treatment in a variety of settings including child care centers, correctional institutions, drug and alcohol treatment centers, health care institutions, mental health centers, and private practice.

Master of Science in Psychology Program

The MS in Psychology degree program at Mount Aloysius College prepares students for career advancement in social service agencies, careers in psychological research, or further study in doctoral programs. Students receive a strong foundation in research methodology and an in-depth understanding of cognitive, developmental, personality, and social psychology.

Students complete 27 credits of core and elective courses and take a comprehensive examination upon completion of these courses. They also each complete a 9-credit thesis (for Ph.D. program preparation), a management option (consisting of 3 MBA courses), or an elective option (3 courses tailored to students' interests and goals).
