The post-professional Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design (MFA-2) at NYS' design graduate school is a 60-credit, advanced study program with a focus on studio and academic research in history, theory, and methods as they relate to an interdisciplinary approach to interior design. The MFA interior design curriculum is formulated to increase understanding of related design disciplines, with special emphasis on their interdependence within the graduate program.

The interior design MFA-2 is a two-year, terminal degree of particular interest to students who have already earned an undergraduate professional degree in interior design, architecture, environmental design, or other closely related fields.
