Online Master's Programs

Norwich has 9 online graduate degree programs that can be completed in as few as 18 months. With the exception of a week-long residency that culminates with a graduation ceremony, classes are taught entirely online.

To accommodate the needs of a diverse student body, transfer credits may be accepted and no GRE or GMAT scores are required for acceptance into these programs as long as you meet the minimum GPA requirement.

Master of Arts in Diplomacy - Online

The 36-credit Master of Arts (MA) in Diplomacy online degree program contains 6 core, concentration, and elective courses; a residency; and an optional master's thesis. Concentrations include international commerce, international conflict management, and international terrorism.

Master of Arts in History - Online

The 36-credit Master of Arts (MA) in History online degree program has American history and world history tracks. Its curriculum consists of 6 courses (36 credits) including a capstone paper, a residency, and an optional master's thesis.

Master of Arts in Military History - Online

The Master of Arts (MA) in Military History online degree program contains 6 courses (36 credits) including a capstone course. It also includes a master's thesis option and a residency.

Master of Business Administration - Online

The 36-credit Master of Business Administration (MBA) online degree program includes 3 core courses, 3 courses in the general MBA track or a concentration, a comprehensive exam, and a residency. Concentrations are offered in finance, organizational leadership, and project management.

Master of Civil Engineering - Online

The Master of Civil Engineering online degree program includes 36 credits of core and concentration courses, and a residency. Prerequisite courses may also be required. Areas of concentration include structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction management, and environmental/water resources engineering.

Master of Public Administration - Online

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) online degree program includes 3 core courses (18 credits), 2 elective or concentration courses (12 credits), a capstone course (6 credits), and a residency. Concentrations include organizational leadership, public works administration, criminal justice studies, fiscal management, leadership, and international development and influence.

Master of Science in Information Security & Assurance - Online

The 36-credit Master of Science (MS) in Information Security & Assurance online degree program includes 4 core courses, 2 concentration courses, and a residency.

Concentrations include computer forensic investigation/incident response team management and project management.

Master of Science in Leadership - Online

The Master of Science (MS) in Leadership degree online program consists of 6 courses (36 credits) and a residency. Courses, which are taken 1 at a time, build upon each other to create a strong foundation of knowledge.

Master of Nursing Science - Online

The Master of Nursing Science (MSN) degree online program includes the nursing administration and nursing education tracks. Students in both tracks complete 3 core courses (18 credits) and a residency. James Kraska holds the 2012 Distinguished Faculty Award from the Norwich Master of Arts in Diplomacy program and the Howard S. His books include Maritime Security Law, Maritime Power and the Law of the Sea, and Contemporary Maritime Piracy. In 2010, he received the Alfred Thayer Mahan Award for Literary Achievement by the Navy League of the United States. He holds an SJD and an LLM from the University of Virginia, a JD from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, and an MA from Claremont Graduate School in Southern California.
