Overview

At the School of Psychology and Interdisciplinary Inquiry, students are given opportunities to embark on a journey to understand the multidimensional human experience. Through Saybrook's M.A./Ph.D. degree programs in Human Science and Psychology, students will be able to explore the challenges that dominate society, with the goal to improve the human condition.

Combining psychology, sociology, anthropology, linguistics, political science, philosophy, the arts, and more, Saybrook's Human Science programs offer students the widest latitude to explore the human terrain.

Students who are interested in Saybrook's Psychology programs will complete coursework focusing on existential, humanistic, and transpersonal psychology, while gaining research experience with broad interdisciplinary exposure.

Students may choose to add a specialization in 1 of 5 areas:

- Consciousness Spirituality and Integrated Health

- Creativity Studies

- Existential Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology

- Jungian Studies

- Transformative Social Change

Non-Degree Certificate options are also available.

As graduates in Human Science or Psychology, students may choose to work in a variety of settings as researchers, teachers, or practitioners at universities, government, non-profit organizations, media and culture, the justice system, social entrepreneurship, public policy research, social advocacy, or international peace organizations.
