Computer Science at Tennessee Tech

Students can earn their master's degree in computer science from an established, fully accredited university as a full-time or part-time student. As full-time graduate students, they can get involved in campus activities including exciting research projects with faculty members. Or, as part-time students, they can earn their degrees while still maintaining their professional or personal schedules.

Tennessee Tech's computer science graduate degree program offers students the opportunity to pursue master's degrees in exciting research areas, including security, distributed computing, and knowledge discovery. The program focus is to enhance research and professional skills. Coursework emphasizes practical outcomes as well as theoretical perspectives.

Upon program completion, graduates are equipped to pursue jobs in a variety of industries, to advance in their current professions, or even to take their graduate studies further. Tennessee Tech also offers a Ph.D. degree program.

The graduate program faculty members provide mentorship experiences and research opportunities to build strong foundations for coalescing knowledge, practice, and policy. Faculty members' own research interests include data mining, medical informatics, grid computing, fraud detection and security, and high performance computing.
