Interdisciplinary Graduate Degrees

Students interested in cutting across disciplinary boundaries may pursue interdisciplinary master's or doctoral degrees. The interdisciplinary program at UAF allows students to create their own program by combining course work in more than one discipline. The proposed program must differ significantly from, and may not substitute for, an existing UAF graduate degree program. Each student in the interdisciplinary program may select no more than half of his or her credits from a single existing graduate degree program.

Cooperative Arrangement with University of Alaska Anchorage

UAF offers 4 doctoral degree programs through cooperative arrangements with the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). They are biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, clinical/community psychology, and interdisciplinary studies.
