The School of Public Health is comprised of 8 departments, now expanded across 3 campuses. The New Brunswick and Stratford campuses host the departments of: Biostatistics, Health Systems and Policy, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology, and Health Education and Behavioral Science.

The Newark campus is home to the departments of Dental Public Health, Quantitative Methods: Epidemiology & Biostatistics, and Urban Health Administration.

M.P.H. Degree Offered in Dental Public Health

The Department of Dental Public Health aims to produce dental health professionals who will provide leadership roles in the areas of community oral health promotion, oral disease prevention, and oral health research programs.

The department offers the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Dental Public Health degree program. Areas of concentration include oral epidemiology, which focuses on the distribution and determinants of oral diseases, and public policy and oral health service administration, which examines the implications of public health policy on the structure, process, and outcome of the oral health delivery system

The department also offers a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.)/M.P.H. dual degree program.

The M.P.H. in Quantitative Methods: Epidemiology degree program will enable students to master a common set of measurable quantitative and analytic skills, study patterns of disease and injury in human populations, and apply this scholarship toward the control of health problems.

Within this M.P.H. degree program, students may choose from additional collateral areas of concentration, including injury epidemiology, infectious disease epidemiology, and radiologic informatics.
