How can I access the Word of the Day?
To access this resource, you'll need to go to the Word of the Day page to connect with Peterson's StudentEdge, our free online college and career planning resource center. After registering with StudentEdge, you can go to the Test Prep section to learn more about specific tests. On the information pages for the tests (such as SAT, ACT, PSAT, etc.), you will find a link to the Word of the Day. 

How can I log in to my Peterson's account?
If you need to log in to access test prep materials that you purchased, please go to our Existing Test Prep Login page.

If you want to access your saved schools list or saved scholarship searches, please see the questions below for specific details about those tools.

I want to create a StudentEdge account, but I don't have an access code. How can I register?
To create an account without an access code, you can follow our Get StudentEdge process. The first step in the process is to select whether you're a student, parent, or educator.

If you're a student or parent, search for your high school and follow the directions for setting up your account. If you are not affiliated with a high school, click the "I am Home Schooled" link to go to the registration form.

If you're a high school educator, search for the high school you're affiliated with and follow the directions to set up access for your school.

If you're an educator without a specific high school affiliation, select Student or Parent as your role and click the "I am Home Schooled" link to go to the registration form.

I'm interested in purchasing online test prep materials. Where do I go?
It depends what type of test you're preparing for. Check out the following pages to find test prep for:

Where can I go to purchase Peterson's books?
You can go to our college store (for undergraduates) or graduate school store pages to purchase books such as college guides, test prep titles, and career guides.

How do I access my saved schools list?
Unfortunately, this functionality is temporarily unavailable on the site. However, you can go to the page for the college compatibility tool to connect with Peterson's StudentEdge, our free online college and career planning resource center. After registering with StudentEdge, you can access the college compatibility tool and save any schools of interest to you.

How do I search for scholarships?
Go to our scholarship search page, which will connect you to Peterson's StudentEdge, our free online college and career planning resource center. After registering with StudentEdge, you can access a free scholarship search. 

Why can't I access my saved scholarship searches?
Unfortunately, our Web site update removed this functionality. If you would like to start a new search for scholarships and save those items, please go to our scholarship search page, which will connect you to Peterson's StudentEdge, a free online college and career planning resource center. You'll need to register with StudentEdge to access the scholarship search and save any scholarships of interest to you.

What happened to the specific searches for distance learning and/or nursing programs?
These searches are not separate from the main college search or graduate school search on the new Web site. Distance learning and nursing programs can be found by completing a search in these areas. If you're interested in undergraduate school, please go to our college search. If you're interested in graduate school, please go to our graduate school search.

Where can I search for or find information about private schools?
Go to our private schools search page to find an introduction to private schools, a list of featured schools, and a link to the search functionality.
