Scholarship is for full-time students pursuing a degree in Hawaiian language or Hawaiian studies at an accredited institution of higher learning with minimum GPA of 3.5. Submit two letters of recommendation from school, community organization or religious leaders. Submit essay describing involvement in community service including organizations, number of hours/length of volunteer service and how you intend to continue to benefit the Hawaiian community.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must attend a university, a four-year college or a two-year college
  • Must study full-time
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Restricted to students studying Foreign Language or Area/Ethnic Studies
  • Restricted to individuals with the following interests: Hawaiian language/culture
