American University Center of Provence - Aix-en-Provence Program Nationally acclaimed, challenging, and comprehensive, the American University Center of Provence (AUCP) in Aix motivates learning both inside and outside the classroom. The advance-level, all-French academic program emphasizes cross-cultural communication, French and European studies, literature, and the arts. Pertinent course offerings, taught in French by French university faculty members, combine with the personalized experiential learning components of the celebrated French Practicum core program, which include individual placement in a carefully selected French host family, community service, personal-interest extracurricular activities, and a French-language exchange partner. Seeking more than a tourist experience abroad, AUCP students participate fully in the local life of Aix-Provence, a vibrant university town well-known for its stately beauty, brilliant sunshine, and elegant art de vivre. Documented by the highest-level independent testing, the progress in both language acquisition and cross-cultural competence achieved by AUCP students is a reference in the field and a testimony to their commitment to true cultural exchange. There are fall, spring, full-year, and summer enrollment options.
American University Center of Provence - Marseilles Program Providing a timely, specific, academic focus, this advanced-level French immersion program draws creatively on the exceptional resources of Marseille, France's gateway to the Mediterranean and bridge to the immense cultural, religious, and political heritage of North Africa and the Middle East. Offering courses such as Understanding Islam, Middle Eastern Political Developments, Immigrant Identities in Contemporary France, and Cross-Cultural Mediation, the program highlights an intensive week of on-site study in Fez, Morocco, with housing in French-speaking Moroccan families. New to study abroad and unspoiled by globalization, Marseille, with its cultural and religious pluralism, inspires true international education in reaching across cultures for greater knowledge and understanding. This spring-only program complements the highly regarded liberal arts program in Aix-en-Provence and, likewise, combines challenging academics ensured by a French university faculty and enhanced by the celebrated French Practicum cultural integration components: individual homestay placement, community service, club memberships, and language exchange partners.

Don't go anywhere else!” This program gives more for the money than other programs, even with the $250 out-of-state fee. Students learn Spanish, culture, and customs by living with a family. Classes are taught by faculty members at the University of Salamanca, not professors from the States or local institutes. There are excursions to Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Seville, Avila, Granada, and Barcelona. Program price includes airfare from Atlanta (students can deduct $800 if arranging their own airfare), tuition, books, housing, laundry, all meals, insurance, and excursions. Center for University Programs Abroad (CUPA) - CUPA–Center for University Programs Abroad The Center for University Programs Abroad (CUPA) has made it possible for American college students to pursue individualized programs of study in Paris for more than forty years, offering access to and immersion in most of the branches of the University of Paris, a number of Grandes Ecoles, and numerous institutes. The program appeals to highly motivated students with proficient French who wish to study a broad range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, and the fine and performing arts. CUPA maintains its commitment to academic excellence, recommending the best and most interesting courses, providing high-quality academic support, and fostering reciprocal cooperation between American and French universities while keeping home-campus requirements and standards in mind. CUPA provides social and cultural opportunities for its students and offers, but does not require, a homestay with a carefully selected family. CUPA is small and selective, encouraging students to embark on an exciting academic adventure in what remains one of the world's last great romantic cities.
Hamilton College - Academic Year in Spain The goal of the Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain (HCAYS) is to offer academic standards that are truly commensurate with those of the best U.S. colleges and universities. This entails a strictly enforced Spanish-only rule, an academic and cultural agreement with the Madrid University of San Pablo (while the College is free from the Spanish university bureaucracy), very small classes and a selection of some of the best professors from Spanish academia, recruitment of students from U.S. institutions of the highest caliber (including those who have joined an informal affiliation with the HCAYS—Swarthmore, Williams, Amherst, and Haverford), and a varied and rich curriculum (including credit-bearing internships). The program also includes special ten-day orientation sessions in the beachside villages of Comillas (fall) and Nerja (spring); an extensive, professionally guided series of cultural excursions throughout Spain; and the strong support (and minimal interference) of a trusting home-institution administration. Students receive truly personalized treatment—the size of the group is limited to about 45. Spanish families for lodging are chosen with great care and given special attention by both the Director-in-Residence and the Program Assistant. The role of the Director is full-time and includes the organization of many activities that are designed to create an atmosphere of caring and a spirit of flexibility with regard to the individual needs of each program participant. Motivated first-year students, sophomores, and juniors with language skills that are equivalent to a fifth-semester college level are encouraged to apply.
Hamilton College - Junior Year in France The Hamilton College Junior Year in France program begins with orientation at the seaside resort town of Biarritz and in Paris, followed by a full academic year in Paris. Care is taken to avoid hidden costs and maintain academic standards. Hamilton has offered the program for more than forty years. The College's liberal arts philosophy frames the program's goals, emphasizing proficiency in French and meaningful intercultural exchange. Homestay with carefully selected families provides an unforgettable personal link with the people of France. In order to begin planning their junior year abroad, first-year students are encouraged to request information about the program. Motivated students in good academic standing who have completed their sophomore year and the equivalent of four semesters of French at the college level are encouraged to apply. The 2007–08 Director-in-Residence is Martine Guyot-Bender.
