Augsburg College

Sustainable Development and Social Change in Central America

Academic Focus

History, interdisciplinary studies, Latin American studies, peace and conflict studies, political science and government, religious studies, Spanish language and literature.

Sessions

Fall, spring.

Venue

Headquartered in San Salvador, El Salvador; Quetzaltenango, Guatemala; Managua, Nicaragua. Scheduled travel to Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua. at an extra cost.

Living Arrangements

Students live in program-owned houses, host family homes, hotels, guest houses. Quarters are shared with host institution students. Meals are taken as a group, with host family, in residences, in central dining facility, in restaurants.

Requirements

Open to sophomores, juniors, seniors; 2.5 GPA; 2 letters of recommendation; good academic standing at home school; 0.5 years of college course work in Spanish.
