"Summer Theater School is an intensive five-week program in which
40 students explore and experience all phases of artistic expression
in theater, visual arts, playwriting, and music. Students collaborate
daily with peers, teachers, and playwrights in classes and in rehearsals,
always discovering new dimensions of theater. Classes are taught by
experienced arts educators from Choate's Winter School as well as other
private and public schools around the country. The curriculum consists
of classes in painting, photography, drawing, watercolor, ceramics,
vocal, instrumentals, playwriting, film writing, acting, acting styles,
stage movement, and musical theater: voice and dance. Summer Theater
School offers participants a rare opportunity to grow as performers."
