"Since 1950, the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program has
offered intensive courses in dance, music, theater, visual
arts, and creative writing to students of all ages and abilities.
Each summer, approximately 1,850 students visit the beautiful
campus in the San Jacinto mountains of southern California.
Students enroll in one course per session, which becomes the
primary focus of their participation in the Summer Program.
Professional artists and teachers work with students in a
nurturing atmosphere that stresses strong educational and
personal values along with outstanding achievement. Expectations
of student behavior are based on respect for individuals,
the arts, and education."
- Steven Fraider, Director of the Summer Program
