Adirondack Field Ecology/Treetops eXpeditions
Adirondack Field Ecology is a truly unique summer academic program. This program is designed to
complement a student's learning in AP Biology and/or introductory college science courses with an
in-depth experience in field research. For four weeks, students sleep in tents in the northern forests
and along wild lakes in New York's revered 6-million acre Adirondack Park. Students work side-by-side
with leading researchers and college professors studying the different ecological communities and conduct
a weeklong research project for their capstone project. The course ends with a six-day backpacking or
canoeing trip in the Adirondack wilderness. Join us on this academic adventure!
