Squaw Valley Academy's summer program combines academic enrichment with summer athletics. We
believe that outdoor sports and activities are a vital part of the learning experience, so in
addition to the two morning academic courses, students from grades 6 to 12 also participate in an
afternoon activity such as hiking and biking in the nearby Sierra Nevada, tennis, swimming at Lake
Tahoe, horseback riding, or rock climbing. Students receive either semester or full-year credit
for each academic course completed. Every weekend, the entire group participates in an exciting
designated activity, such as white-water rafting, a boat cruise, a museum visit, or a trip to a
water park.
