Just compare the average cost of a college course at $900* vs. the cost of a credit for prior learning (CPL) exam at $85. Yet, while nearly 3,000 colleges and universities accept some form of CPL, student awareness of these exams remains extremely low.<\/p>\n

As part of an effort to increase the recognition and utilization of these exams, as well as assist test takers, Peterson\u2019s<\/a> is launching a new app focused solely on CPL test prep<\/a>. The app provides unlimited access to digital test preparation resources for DSST (formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) and College Level Exam Placement (CLEP) tests. The app provides practice 180 tests in a flashcard-style format for nearly 60 subject exams. Video remediation is also available.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the ever-increasing cost of college tuition, DSST, CLEP, and other prior learning credit exams offer students an extremely affordable path to college credit,\u201d said Jordan Stolper, CEO of Peterson\u2019s. \u201cOur new app provides students the practice needed to prepare for and pass these exams, and ultimately save money on their education.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peterson\u2019s DSST and CLEP Mobile Prep App is available now in Google Play<\/a> and the App Store<\/a>. The app provides unlimited usage with a subscription purchase of $29.95 per month. Peterson\u2019s is an official test prep provider of the DSST.<\/p>\n
