Computer science is a rapidly-growing field with several potential lucrative career paths, including computer engineer, IT consultant, Web designer, software engineer, and more. If you’re pursuing a degree in computer science, here are nine scholarships to help fund your education.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. LoadView Women in Computing Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>Dotcom-Monitor supports female undergraduate students who are pursuing careers in computing by assisting them with the rising cost of higher education. Each year one applicant will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship to support their education and pursuit of a career in computing.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $1,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Accenture American Indian Scholarship<\/a>
    \n<\/span>Scholarships will be awarded to American Indian and Alaska Natives from U.S. federally recognized tribes. This program is designed for first year college freshmen students attending a university or a four-year college who demonstrate financial need. Areas of study must include: engineering, computer science, operations management, finance, marketing, or business.
    \nAmount awarded: $10,000<\/li>\n
  3. Stokes Educational Scholarship Program<\/a>
    \n<\/span>The Stokes Program is open to high school seniors, particularly minority students, planning to major in computer science or computer\/electrical engineering. The program is a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable experience in your field while attending college and earning a degree.
    \nAmount awarded: $15,000<\/li>\n
  4. AFCEA STEM Majors Scholarships for Undergraduate Students<\/a>
    \n<\/span>Scholarships are available for full-time students currently working toward an undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer forensics science, computer programming, computer science, computer systems, cybersecurity, and more at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
    \nAmount awarded: $2,500<\/li>\n
  5. NACME Scholarships<\/a>
    \n<\/span>NACME partners with leading corporations and universities to offer approximately $3 million in scholarships annually for underrepresented minorities pursuing undergraduate degrees in engineering or computer science. To be eligible, students must either be a high school senior applying to an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, or attend a university or a four-year college.

  6. Paul W. Ruckes Scholarship<\/a>
    \n<\/span>A scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student studying in the field of engineering or in computer, physical, or life sciences. Applicants must attend a university, a four-year college, or two-year college in the U.S. and have visual disabilities.
    \nAmount awarded: $1,000<\/li>\n
  7. Honeywell Scholarship<\/a>
    \n<\/span>Three $5,000 scholarships for female applicants planning to study a full-time ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year. Preference will be given to underrepresented groups and\/or those who demonstrate financial need. Applicants must attend a four-year college in the U.S.
    \nAmount awarded: $5,000<\/li>\n
  8. Women in Technology Scholarship (WITS)<\/a>
    \n<\/span>This scholarship is designed for women who are enrolled at, or accepted into, either a two or four-year U.S. college or university. Applicants must be planning a career in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or other related fields. Selection is based upon academic performance, essay, and level of participation in community services and extracurricular activities.

  9. MIE Solutions Scholarship<\/a>
    \n<\/span>MIE Solutions is offering three $500 scholarships to students who write a winning essay regarding their future career and educational objectives in computer science and\/or computer engineering. Applicants must be a full-time or part-time undergraduate student.
