You may even become employed by a government agency such as the EPA or USDA. We\u2019ve dug up 11 scholarships to help you fund your degree in agriculture:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Agriculture Future of America Scholarship Program<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This scholarship is open to high school seniors or undergraduate students who plan to pursue a four-year degree or are currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college of agriculture seeking a bachelor of science degree in agriculture or an agriculture-related major. Students must be studying agribusiness, agriculture, or food science\/nutrition.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $1,600+<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. William F. Helms Internship Program<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This internship provides university and college undergraduates the opportunity to help protect U.S. agriculture and natural resources against harmful plant pests and facilitate the safe trade of agricultural products. Students accepted in the program will receive financial aid up to $5,000 each year ($10,000 maximum) while pursuing a degree in a program related to agricultural or the biological sciences.<\/span>

  3. National Garden Clubs Inc. Scholarship Program<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This one-time award is available for full-time students studying plant sciences, agriculture, and related or allied subjects. Applicants must attend a U.S. university or a four-year college full-time and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $4,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Masonic Range Science Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This renewable award is designed for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in agribusiness, agriculture, animal\/veterinary sciences, earth science, natural resources,\u00a0 and range science. Applicants must attend a four-year college.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $5,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. New York Farm Bureau Agricultural Youth Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>Applicants must: (1) be a graduating high school senior who will continue their education to prepare for a career in some way connected to the agricultural industry; (2) live or work on a farm or be involved with agriculture via any avenue; (3) be a member of Family Farm Bureau or Student Farm Bureau. <\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $1,000 – $1,500<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Evan Turek Memorial Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This scholarship assists students who plan to continue their education by pursuing an undergraduate degree in food science, nutrition, agricultural engineering, biochemistry, chemical engineering, dairy science, food chemistry, food engineering, food packaging, non-thermal processing, or a related discipline. Applicants must be a full-time or part-time student attending a four-year college.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $1,500<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. 4-H Youth in Action Awards<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>The 4-H Youth in Action Program recognizes four confident young leaders who are 4-H members or alumni between the ages of 15-19 in our core pillar areas of agriculture, civic engagement, healthy living, and STEM. Each winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship for higher education, including two-year and four-year colleges, trade schools or other advanced learning opportunities.<\/span>

  8. USDA\/1890 National Scholars Program<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This program offers scholarships to high school seniors entering their freshman year and rising college sophomores and juniors who are seeking a bachelor’s degree at one of the 1890 land-grant universities. Full tuition, employment, employee benefits, fees, books, and room and board each year for up to 4 years will be provided to selected students studying agribusiness, agriculture, biology, food science\/nutrition, horticulture\/floriculture, natural resources, or related field.<\/span>

  9. ASABE Foundation Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>A yearly scholarship grant of $1,750 will be given to one undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: (1) is a biological or agricultural engineering student; (2) has completed at least one full year as an undergraduate student; (3) is not a graduating senior in the semester\/term of application; (4) is enrolled in an engineering curriculum that is accredited by ABET or CEAB; (5) has an overall GPA of at least 2.5; and (6) can attest to the need for financial aid.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $1,750<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Marshall E. McCullough-National Dairy Shrine Scholarships<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This scholarship is designed for freshman students at a four-year college or university with an intent to major in dairy\/animal science with a communications emphasis, or agricultural journalism with a dairy\/animal science emphasis. <\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $1,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. NAAE Upper Division Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>To be eligible for this scholarship, each applicant must be: (1) an agricultural education major that will be completing his or her student teaching in a college or university that offers a program of study in agricultural education; (2) majoring in agricultural education with intentions to become an agriculture teacher; (3) a student member of NAAE during the NAAE membership year in which they apply for the scholarship; (4) one of a maximum of three applicants selected to apply for this scholarship from the applicant\u2019s institution.<\/span>
