Pursuing a degree in finance prepares you for multiple career opportunities upon graduation, including financial analysis, investment banking, corporate finance, brokering, financial planning, underwriting, and more.\u00a0<\/span>The <\/span>Bureau of Labor and Statistics<\/span><\/a> is projecting that the field of financial operations will grow eight percent from 2020 to 2030, adding over 750,800 new jobs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are seven scholarships to help fund your finance degree:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Finance and Accounting Undergraduate Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This scholarship supports the costs of attending third, fourth, or fifth year when pursuing an accounting or finance degree. Applicants must attend a university or a four-year college, and must be studying accounting or finance.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: varies\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>To qualify, applicants must be a full- or part-time graduate or upper level undergraduate student attending a university or a four-year college. Courses of study must include public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration (with specific focus on government or nonprofit management). <\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $10,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. AlixPartners\/UNCF Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>The AlixPartners\/UNCF program provides need-based scholarships to college juniors with a declared major in accounting, analytics, business, engineering, finance, math, or technology. This scholarship will be awarded for every academic year, and is renewable for up to one year for awardees who continue to meet eligibility requirements.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $5,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>This program helps women pursue undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management and overcome gender barriers from the classroom to the boardroom. Women of any age, pursuing a business program with a major field of specialization in accounting, economics, finance, business management, marketing, operations management, human resources management, international business, or entrepreneurship, are eligible to apply. <\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $2,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Bonsai Finance Veteran\u2019s Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>The Bonsai Finance Veteran\u2019s Scholarship celebrates veteran and dependent students who strive for excellence in their lives. The scholarship provides a one-time payment of $1,000 for current or future education costs. Applicants must be a veteran or active duty member of the U.S. Military service, or a direct dependent; a high school senior, high school graduate, or registered as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or post high school vocational\/technical institution; and a U.S. citizen. <\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $1,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Goldberg-Miller Public Finance Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>To be eligible, applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada; plan to pursue a career in state\/provincial or local government finance; and be enrolled as a\u00a0 full-time graduate student. <\/span>
    \n<\/span>Amount awarded: $20,000<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. MPOWER Financing Global Citizen Scholarship<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/a>Scholarships are awarded annually to international and DACA students enrolled at universities MPOWER supports. Applicants must meet one of these criteria: have a valid visa that permits study in the U.S.; are protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); or are U.S. permanent residents (green card holders). <\/span>
