  1. Set up testing equipment<\/b>\u2014Ensure that your student has a testing device. Phones, mini tablets, and Android tablets (Samsung, Asus, Amazon Fire) are not to be used for testing. Laptops, Desktop computers, or Chromebooks with Mac OS X, Windows, or Chrome operating systems are ideal for taking the TACHS exam. Provide chargers, internet, and optional headphones for test day. Students are also allowed scratch paper for reading, written expression, and mathematics. Microphone and camera access is necessary for visual monitoring of the test. Ensure that these are successfully operating along with the Protorio program on the chosen test device.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Equip the student<\/b>\u2014Rest, food, hydration, and encouragement help secure the best test score possible. Encourage your student to do their best in the test, read questions thoroughly, and review questions and answers if time allows. Prior to test day, practice completing questions within an allotted time so you can gauge your student\u2019s test-taking abilities and ensure that they\u2019re ready to answer questions in a timely manner.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Minimize distractions<\/b>\u2014Secure a distraction-free zone away from pets and siblings. Provide a space with adequate light, lack of disturbances, snacks, and water to get through the test.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
