The fastest and easiest way to sign up for the ACT\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> placement test is through the online registration<\/a>. Registering online allows you to select which testing center<\/a>, either national or international, you would like to take the test at, and know immediately if it is available for your preferred date. However, if you are under the age of 13<\/a> or are unable to use a credit card, you will have to register by mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Special circumstances<\/h2>\n

There are other things that you should be aware of depending on your personal situation. For example, if you are confined to a hospital, correctional institution, or otherwise cannot go to a testing center on your own, do not register online. Instead, download a Request for Arranged Testing<\/a> and have a school official fill it out for you.<\/p>\n

If you have a disability and need extra time<\/a> or other accommodations, you can sign up online or register by mail, but be sure to also submit the required documentation <\/a>to prove which accommodations you need for your disability.<\/p>\n

Missing your deadline<\/h2>\n

Missing deadlines for registration do happen, so if you miss the late deadline you are able to request and pay (extra) for standby testing<\/a>. Though you aren’t guaranteed a seat or a test booklet, you will be able to take the test if someone happens to not show up. These are first-come, first-admitted basis, so you may be turned away if the testing center has already registered their allotted number of students.<\/p>\n

Pricing and fees<\/h2>\n

There are fees<\/a> associated with registering and taking the test, so be sure to plan ahead for any unforeseen circumstances that might occur. Likewise, be sure to study<\/a>, take practice tests<\/a>, and be prepared for the ACT in every way possible. Although you can take the ACT up to 12<\/a> times total, most a lot of students only take the test twice, once as a junior and the second time as a senior. Remember: Preparation is key to success.<\/p>\n
