Master of Business Administration Overview

The M.B.A. program is a 20-month, accelerated program that prepares experienced business professionals to advance their careers to the next level. Students benefit from a course structure that allow for continuous full time work outside class. International students benefit from a unique structure that meets the full time program of study requirement, while allowing maximum time during the traditional academic week for study and preparation. Offered in a cohort format, the rigorous curriculum prepares graduates to succeed in a rapidly changing global business environment.

In addition to the main campus in Morrow, the Clayton State University M.B.A. degree is offered at Peachtree City (Fayette County), and East Metro Atlanta (Conyers/Rockdale County). Applications are accepted for fall and spring semesters. Additional information about the Master of Business Administration is available

M.B.A. Curriculum Offers 3 Concentrations

The M.B.A. curriculum trains business professionals for management careers by increasing their communication skills, broadening their appreciation of diverse cultures, improving their decision making, and reinforcing their ability to apply their problem solving skills. Students develop deeper understanding of the importance of ethical business behavior and corporate social responsibility.

Students each select one of the following concentrations: "Supply Chain Management," "International Business," or "Accounting." Graduates of the program gain the abilities to lead in organizational situations, to innovate solutions to complex problems, and to manage in unpredictable environments.

Courses include lectures, case discussions, current business issues, and team projects. The M.B.A. is offered in a lock-step cohort format to build stronger relationships among students so as to increase communication and sharing experiences.

Each student completes 11 core courses of 3 semester credit hours each for a total of 33 credit hours. Students who did not major in business for their undergraduate degrees (or if their undergraduate business degrees are older than 5 years) may be required to take up to 4 semester hours in foundation courses to prepare for core courses.
