Flexible and Personalized MBA Program

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at East Carolina University is designed for all types of business professionals -- from real estate agents to bankers. The degree helps prepare students for managerial roles in their profession by training students in the theory and practice of business management. Designed for both business and non-business students, the program does not require any prerequisites or prior experience for admission.

The foundation curriculum combines economics, accounting, marketing, finance, supply chain management, strategy, and information systems, all chosen so that students are equipped for management and decision-making roles in modern corporations. Elective courses allow students to fulfill specialized career goals. About 20 percent of students choose to pursue one of ten optional certificates that provide in-depth insight in areas such as sport management, marketing, finance, supply chain management, and management information systems.

The program is highly flexible: Students can choose to complete courses online, on-campus, or through a combination of the two. The online MBA program and courses are identical to the on-campus program and are offered as an alternative for working students. Students may also choose to take between one and five courses each semester to fulfill the program's required 54 hours, allowing students to set their own pace for degree completion.

Students in this program take the CPA exam in their last semester, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.
