Fairleigh Dickinson University, Metropolitan Campus
FDU's Metropolitan Campus is located in the heart of the dynamic New York/New Jersey corridor, just minutes from Manhattan in Teaneck, NJ. The campus is less than 10 miles west of New York City's George Washington Bridge.
At the Metropolitan Campus, students have easy access to the amenities and resources of a major city-center, along with the security and collegiality of a mid-sized college campus. The campus offers ample parking for commuters, plus public transit stops right on campus. It is located within a half-hour drive of Newark Liberty International Airport, and under an hour's drive from New York City's major airport.
The university's close proximity to New York City inspires a robust graduate experience. The campus draws nearly equal numbers of undergraduates, adult learners, and full- and part-time graduate students from throughout the country and the world. Minority and international students comprise nearly a third of the campus population.
The Metropolitan Campus has a total of 1,113 full-time and 1,664 part-time graduate students enrolled. Most classes are offered evenings and weekends for the convenience of working professionals.
In addition, FDU offers graduate programs at its second northern New Jersey campus in Madison, NJ. The Florham Campus is a traditional college campus located on a former estate 40 miles from Teaneck. In Fall 2012, Fairleigh Dickinson University's School of Pharmacy -- only the second pharmacy school in the state of New Jersey -- opened at the Florham Campus. Located in the heart of the US pharmaceutical industry, its dynamic curriculum incorporates technology, a global perspective and multiple master's degree options.
