Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. Research Fellowship

Description

The Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. Research Fellowship will be awarded to applicants whose research focus must be on Foreign policy of the Kennedy administration (especially in the Western Hemisphere); and domestic policy of the Kennedy administration (especially with regard to racial justice or natural resources conservation). Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact an archivist at the JFK Library for information about relevant archival holdings before applying. A brief proposal must be submitted. It must include the planned project and its significance; collections the applicant's will consult at the JFK Library and other institutions; the intended audience and expected outcome of the applicant's work. Two letters of recommendation from academic or other appropriate references are required. A sample of the applicant's writing must also be submitted. A project budget, including a description of how the awarded funds would be applied; a list of other fellowships or grants that will support the project, and a statement on whether matching funds are available to the applicant through their home institution or elsewhere must also be submitted.
