Edward D. Hendrickson/SAE Engineering Scholarship, established by Hendrickson International, honors the late Edward D. Hendrickson, a pioneer in the commercial vehicle industry. To be eligible, applicant must be a U.S. resident, and pursues an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program, provides two (2) Letters of Recommendation - one (1) that focuses on academics and one (1) that outlines involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment. Special consideration will be given to those who plan to pursue a career in the Commercial Vehicle Industry (ie: studying areas such as electric & autonomous vehicles, connectivity & data, predictive maintenance, improved fuel efficiencies, and on-highway emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles).
