The Harold Lancour Foreign Research Fellowship is awarded to a professional librarian in order to support a robust LIS-related research project to be conducted in a country outside of Canada/USA. Applicants must be degreed professionals working in a library, archives, or other approved information setting. LIS faculty are not eligible, nor are students currently enrolled in LIS doctoral or master's degree programs. Applicants must hold an MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited master's degree program, or from another program approved for Beta Phi Mu membership. All required documents must be submitted online. 2021 update: Due to budgetary constraints, the Lancour Fellowship will not be awarded in 2021. Check back again for future awards.
