The Jack K. and Gertrude Murphy Award and the Edwin Anthony and Adalaine Boudreaux Cadogan Scholarships are available to Bay Area master of fine arts students to underwrite tuition for their continued academic study. Students must have completed at least one semester of graduate study and be continuously enrolled in the same program and be in good standing. Award recipients may be required to provide proof of continuing school enrollment. For SFAI students: Students will need to provide information and a form of confirmation regarding the Arts Institution to which they will be transferring to, which must be in one of the following counties of the Bay Area. Artwork samples are required for the application. The winners of the Murphy Award and the Cadogan Scholarships receive financial awards (amounts to be determined when applications reopen). Each winner also has their work displayed in a professionally curated exhibition at SOMArts Cultural Center.
