Leo Baeck Institute-DAAD Fellowship

Description

LBI and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provide financial support to American doctoral students for dissertation research and to young academics for the preparation of a scholarly essay or book. Fellowships are awarded for research at the Leo Baeck Institute in New York on the social, communal, and intellectual history of German-speaking Jewry. Applicants must be PhD candidates or recent PhDs (degree awarded within the last two years). All parts of the application form should be typewritten or otherwise neatly printed. Confidential letters of recommendation and official transcripts should be forwarded in sealed envelopes. Please do not staple any of the application materials. Application deadlines are on May 31 and November 1 every year.
