Description

The Past Presidents Scholarship will be awarded to a college junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, or an engineering program with an emphasis on welding (bonding and joining included), or a graduate student pursuing a Master's or Doctorate in engineering and/or management. Applicants must have demonstrated leadership qualities, through community involvement, AWS Section or other professional society participation, industry leadership, and being an AWS Member. One or more recommendation letters must come from community members, local AWS Section Officers, and/or AWS District Directors, attesting to leadership capability. One or more recommendation letters must come from a Faculty if a student, or from an Employer if employed.
