This scholarship recognizes the importance of advanced technology in the development of future vehicles. Applicants must be pursuing Advanced Technology Vehicles which includes hybrids, fuel cells, alternative vehicles, advanced powertrain, etc. degree through an ABET accredited program. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation, one that focuses on academics and one that outlines involvement in extracurricular activities or employment. Applicants will detail any projects, employment experience or career interests they have in the following (or similarly related) areas: Turbo Charging, Cylinder Deactivation, Variable Valve Lift and Timing, Low-Leak Air Conditioning, Continuously Variable Transmissions, Direct Fuel Injection &/or Electrification of parasitic loads.
