The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners Scholarship Program

Description

This year, The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners will award up to six $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors who best demonstrate The Connor GroupÔÇÖs core values. The Connor Group is a real estate investment firm that owns and operates luxury apartments in 15 markets across the U.S. Our philanthropic investment arm ÔÇô Kids and Community Partners ÔÇôinvests in programs that provide opportunities for under resourced youth. HOW MUCH IS THE SCHOLARSHIP? Winners will receive a $5,000 scholarship to attend an accredited U.S. college or university. WeÔÇÖll select a maximum of six recipients each year. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY? High school seniors planning to attend an accredited U.S. college or university. Combined family income of $75,000 or less. Preference given to students who reside in one of the markets in which we operate: Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dallas, Dayton, Denver, Indianapolis, Louisville, Minneapolis, Nashville, Raleigh-Durham, and Tampa. WHAT IS THE APPLICATION DEADLINE? To be considered for the 2021 Kids and Community Scholarship, applications must be submitted between November 1st, 2020 ÔÇô February 15th, 2021. WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF IÔÇÖVE BEEN SELECTED? Winners will be notified on or before April 30th, 2021. HOW DO I APPLY? We will begin accepting 2021 applications on November 1st, 2020. Applicants who demonstrate alignment with the Connor Group core values of ÔÇ£Do the Right Thing,ÔÇØ ÔÇ£People CountÔÇØ, ÔÇ£Live the Circle of SuccessÔÇØ, ÔÇ£Think Long-Term, Not Short-TermÔÇØ and ÔÇ£Relentless Pursuit of ExcellenceÔÇØ will have the best chance at winning. In addition to basic demographic information, we will ask for evidence of school and community involvement, volunteer work and other ÔÇ£good citizenÔÇØ activities. We give the option of adding a written essay or video answering one of our key questions on the application. We will ask finalists to participate in a 10-minute video interview with members of the selection committee.
