What is on the Case Worker exam?

The Case Worker exam is designed to test your knowledge of social work vocabulary (words important in daily work with clients); reading interpretation; eligibility for public assistance and housing, housing and social welfare; judgment to make the appropriate courses of action; techniques of gathering, organizing, and assessing information; interpretation of agent rules, regulations and procedures; interpretation of federal, state, and city social service laws and guidelines; preparation of narrative reports, letters and case records; forms completion; record keeping, basic arithmetic; and other related areas.

How is the Case Worker exam scored?

The written exam is scored out of 100, with 70 percent required to pass.
