It's an exhilarating time to be an international undergraduate or graduate student at historic Adelphi University, the oldest private liberal arts and sciences university on Long Island, just 40 minutes from New York City. Even among the top schools in the New York metropolitan area, historic Adelphi is a stand-out with its large international student population from sixty-two countries and the consistent global focus of its academic programs.

Since the 1990s, Adelphi has undergone a major expansion program that continues to make headlines in the academic world. Adelphi University's renaissance is fueled by a $200-million investment in capital improvements, including new dormitories, centers for performing arts, fine arts, recreation, and sports; network, telecommunications, and wireless access across campus; and science lab enhancements.

Adelphi University Is Ranked a National "Best Buy" College

Adelphi University is situated in Garden City, Long Island, New York, on one of America's most stunning campuses. Beautifully landscaped with lavish rose gardens and sixty species of trees and shrubs, the seventy-five-acre campus was officially designated as an arboretum in 2002. Students have a safe, suburban campus environment for learning and for enjoying the many extra-curricular activities, clubs, and sports events. Garden City is a friendly town of 20,000 residents.

Convenient to Long Island's famous beaches and parks, the campus is just a 40-minute train ride from the world-class attractions of the most exciting international city in the world. Students can drive into Manhattan on the Long Island Expressway or ride the Long Island Railroad, a clean and efficient commuter train with a convenient station near campus.

Besides the Garden City campus, Adelphi University has three other campuses in the New York Metropolitan Area. The Hauppauge Center Campus is also on Long Island. The Adelphi Manhattan Center Campus is located in the historic SoHo neighborhood. The Hudson Valley Center Campus is situated north of New York City in Poughkeepsie, New York.
