The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater

The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is one of the largest and top business schools in the United States. It has accreditation from the prestigious AACSB International, which provides standards for high quality business education worldwide.

Through its Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree program, the college offers 13 majors in 6 departments: accounting, economics, finance and business law, information technology and supply chain management, management, and marketing.

At the core of its programs are dedicated and skilled faculty members who teach all classes and work with students on college outreach projects that assist regional businesses. The college also provides high-tech classrooms, small group study areas, Bloomberg terminals, relevant internships, and real-world leadership opportunities through more than 25 award-winning student organizations.

Department of Accounting

The Department of Accounting prepares students for careers in the private, industrial, and government sectors. It offers 3 majors: Accounting B.B.A., Accounting B.B.A. Double Major or Minor, and Accounting B.B.A. plus a Master of Professional Accountancy degree.

Department of Economics

The Department of Economics prepares students for positions as analysts as well as careers in consulting, forecasting, public policy, research, sales, and urban planning. It offers the following degrees: a B.B.A. degree in the College of Business and Economics, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in the College of Letters and Sciences, and a B.S. degree in the College of Education.

Department of Finance and Business Law

The Department of Finance and Business Law provides students with advanced understanding of corporate finance, investments, and money and capital markets. As a result, they graduate equipped to excel in many areas such as corporate finance, banking and credit markets, public sector, and real estate. In addition to the general finance major, the department offers emphases in financial planning, insurance, and real estate.

Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management

The Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management offers a major in information technology including emphases in business analysis, business application development, and networking and security.

It also offers a supply chain and operations management major including a project management emphasis. Through these majors, students at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater develop advanced technological and problem solving skills. Therefore, they graduate fully-prepared for a variety of positions such as programmer, network systems analyst, supply chain analyst, and production planner.

Department of Management

Department of Marketing

Interdepartmental Majors

Interdepartmental majors at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater allow students to tailor their degree programs to fit their career interests. B.B.A. majors include general business, international business, and integrated science and business (including an emphasis in water).

Online B.B.A. Degree Program in General Business

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater also offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree program in general business that can be completed entirely online. Courses start at the junior and senior levels, so lower level courses are completed before enrolling in the program.

The program delivers the same high quality education as the university's traditional business programs.
