A Small-College Feel with Land-Grant University Resources

Oklahoma State's College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology has approximately 3,500 undergraduate students out of a total OSU-Stillwater undergraduate population of some 20,500. Because of this, CEAT students benefit from a closely knit college community while enjoying campus life, Division 1 athletics, and recreational opportunities of the broader OSU campus.

"The Princeton Review" ranks Oklahoma State regionally as a Best Western College. The College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology offers a range of rigorous degree programs with scholarship and mentorship possibilities.

Scholarship Awards and Programs

Students applying to OSU and selecting majors in the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology are automatically considered for many of the college's scholarships. Other scholarship programs with separate application processes are also open to CEAT students.

Engineering students with outstanding academic records and leadership potential may apply for 1 of 2 yearly W.W. Allen Scholars Program scholarships, which provide mentorship and study abroad opportunities in addition to financial support.

Incoming students who were Boys and Girls Club participants in high school and plan to study engineering may apply for OSU's Boys and Girls Club National Scholarship, which provides funds, national and international travel, and mentorship to 1 new recipient per year.

The Koch Discovery Scholarship Program is open to applicants studying chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Continuing CEAT students may also apply for the Phillips 66 Shield Scholars Program.

Select Courses, Housing, and Privileges for Honors College Students

Students accepted to OSU's Honors College are eligible to enroll in smaller honors classes on a range of subjects and to receive specialized advising, extended library checkout privileges, and priority class registration. Honors College students may also live in centrally located Stout Hall, space permitting.

Undergraduate Degree Programs for Architecture Students

OSU offers 5-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree programs that are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board and the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, respectively. The Donald W. Reynolds School of Architecture Building, completed in 2009, houses the Cunningham Architectural Library, classrooms, studios, and laboratories.

A Blend of Science and Nature in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering

Oklahoma State's Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering (BAE) is managed by CEAT and OSU's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Undergraduates have 4 options within the Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering degree plan: Biomechanical, Food Processing, Bioprocessing and Biotechnology, and Environmental and Natural Resources.

BAE's faculty members oversee labs researching a variety of subjects, including hydraulic engineering, bio-nanotechnology, wildland fire management, and water quality. The BAE department also provides public information on farming equipment, water management, and other topics through the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service.

A "School of Choice" for Chemical Engineering Students

OSU offers a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (B.S. ChE) degree program with an optional minor in Petroleum Engineering. Premedical and biomedical/chemical degree options are also available. The School of Chemical Engineering prides itself on its students' consistently higher than average performance on national exams and in academic competitions.

Hands-on Research Opportunities in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

The CEAT's School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is home to labs where faculty members and students investigate fluid dynamics, robotics, aerodynamics, and related topics. Students may pursue Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degrees or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degrees, and may choose a Premedical Option as well.

A Comprehensive Civil Engineering Program

Students who are working toward Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) degrees take courses in the 6 core areas of the field, including construction management; transportation; water resources; and structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering. The degree plan also emphasizes ethics and public policy.

An Established and Individually Focused Industrial Engineering and Management Program

OSU's Industrial Engineering and Management Program was founded in 1926, making it the oldest IE program in the western US. Its students work out individual course plans with their advisers to give them the big-picture thinking skills and engineering fundamentals needed for careers in the field.

A Growing and Active School of Electrical and Computer Engineering

The electrical and computer engineering faculty members at OSU includes National Science Foundation Career Award recipients and IEEE Fellows, and the school has added faculty members and expanded its research programs in recent years. Bachelor of Science degrees are offered in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.

The undergraduate electrical engineering program requires students to choose their Areas of Specialization before the junior year. The options include: "Communication, Controls, and Signal Processing;" "Power and Energy;" "Computers and Digital;" "Electromagnetics and Photonics;" and "Electronics and Solid State."

Practical and Well-Regarded Engineering Technology Programs

For students who seek a balance of theory and practical applications, OSU offers several undergraduate programs in engineering technology. OSU's Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (B.S.E.T.) degree programs include the US's only ABET-certified program in fire protection and safety, considered the "West Point of the Fire Service" for its preparation of students for careers in private and public fire protection.

Oklahoma State's other engineering technology bachelor's degree programs include electrical engineering technology and its related Computer Option, which prepares students for careers in network administration, software engineering, and systems analysis. The Division of Engineering Technology also offers bachelor's degree programs in construction management technology and mechanical engineering technology.
