About The Extended Campuses of Northern Arizona University

Northern Arizona University is a public university offering undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees of high quality and societal value. Students are at the center of the NAU experience, which is guided by a dedicated and distinguished faculty committed to individual engagement and teaching excellence. Whether graduates earn their degrees at the historic Flagstaff campus, through Extended Campuses, or online, NAU prepares them to achieve their human potential in ways that serve the region and beyond.

The Extended Campuses of Northern Arizona University have delivered a respected, accredited and affordable university education to students wherever they want to learn for more than 30 years. Non-traditional students, including working adults and community college transfer students, are empowered to advance personally and professionally through a network of 30+ statewide campuses, extensive online options, and faculty members and staff members passionate about their successes. NAU-Extended Campuses offers over 100 bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs, as well as certificate and endorsement options -- all designed to prepare graduates for today's demanding job market.

As a premier public university, Northern Arizona University is committed to delivering an affordable college education. Extended Campuses students pay the lowest university tuition in the state and the Flagstaff campus offers an affordable locked-in tuition. NAU also accepts the most transfer credits of any state university, up to 90 credits in some cases.

NAU-Extended Campuses continues to introduce innovative programs to help fill the growing need for public administrators, health professionals, teachers, business experts, and community leaders in Arizona and beyond. These advancements include the award-winning 2NAU community college joint-admission program, a concurrent-enrollment nursing program that cuts the time and cost involved with completing a nursing degree program, and "Personalized Learning," the first competency-based online degree programs offered by a public university in the nation. The top ranked university in Arizona for online affordability, NAU offers more than 80 entirely online degree programs, more than any other state university.

NAU is also committed to helping active duty military and veterans achieve their educational goals and is ranked by "Military Times" in its Best For Vets: Colleges 2014 rankings as the top school for veterans in Arizona and the greater Southwest region.

Northern Arizona University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (www.ncahlc.org). Esteemed program accreditations include the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Educators (NCATE) for high-quality education programs, approval from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for the Extended Campuses business programs, and accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration, an honor earned by fewer than 20% of the nation's Hotel and Restaurant Management programs.

Today, Extended Campuses students comprise nearly one-third of Northern Arizona University's total student population.
