Overview

Location

Northwest Nazarene University truly has a best-of-all-worlds location, situated just 20 minutes from the cultural resources and amenities of downtown Boise and within arm's reach of Idaho's outdoor pursuits. NNU's location shapes the student experience, including some incredible internship opportunities.

With more than 60 areas of study to choose from, students never have to settle for a major that's anything less than their true passion.

Hands-on Experience

At NNU, students receive hands-on experience both in and out of the classroom. Whether working in the university's state-of-the-art engineering labs, shooting on site with the Film School, or performing at local venues in a jazz ensemble, students leave prepared to embark on any career path or pursue advanced degrees at some of the top graduate schools in the country.

NNU's faith community is rooted in love for God and one another, but it is not a Christian hideout from the world. Students and faculty alike challenge one another to examine, articulate and own their faith through weekly chapel services, Timeout (a student-led worship service), small groups and service mission trips.

Unique and Quirky

The school has some unique traditions and campus characters not found elsewhere. With more than 40 student clubs and organizations contributing to the campus life (ranging from Art Club to Journeys Outfitting Co.), and quirky traditions like Fresheree (their annual talent show) and Mr. NNU (like the Miss America pageant, except with dudes), students find enough co-curricular opportunities to keep involved and entertained for all four years.
