Overview

The Future is in Calgary

Located in Canada's fourth largest city, the University of Calgary (popularly known as UCalgary) is home to more than 30,000 students. This includes a diverse population of more than 3,000 international students. From 2013-15, UCalgary was the #1 ranked young university in Canada (as determined by both "QS" and "Times Higher Education"). In 2015, QS upgraded the ranking to make UCalgary the #1 young university in North America. And in 2016, "Times Higher Education" ranked UCalgary as of the top 200 most globally oriented universities in the world.

UCalgary's 14 faculties grant degrees up to the doctorate level in most disciplines. But what really sets UCalgary apart are the enhanced student experiences offered. From the day students join the campus, they'll be able to participate in a wide variety of activities such as hands-on learning programs, unique research opportunities, and leadership development seminars.

UCalgary's main campus is located on 526 park-like acres minutes from downtown Calgary, and the Canadian Rocky Mountains are just an hour's drive away. This is where students will find some of the best hiking and skiing in the world, not to mention biking, rock climbing, kayaking, and more. Once here, students will want to get out and explore everything the world-class location has to offer!

UCalgary's International Admissions Process

UCalgary has an admissions process that can be completed online. Eligible applicants must complete, or be in the process of completing, grade 12 (or the equivalent level of schooling). Students should select their first- and second-choice programs, and ensure they meet the program requirements.

UCalgary accepts undergraduate applications annually from October 1 to March 1. Applicants are allowed to change and resubmit their application form as many times as they want until the submission deadline of March 1. Applicants can also apply for scholarships and awards using the online submission process until the deadline of March 1.

Once students submit all of the required documents, they can track the status of the application using the school's online portal (my.ucalgary.ca). Upon receiving an offer of admission, students can also use the online portal to accept their offer, pay the registration deposit, and register for courses.

Students must also submit official transcripts and other required documents. Deadlines vary depending on a variety of factors that are provided on the university's website. To learn more about the university's international admission process, please visit http://www.ucalgary.ca/future-students/undergraduate/apply.
