By teaching rigorous business, finance and economics, connecting students to best practices and immersing them in international experiences, Brandeis International Business School  prepares exceptional individuals from around the globe to become principled professionals in companies and public institutions worldwide. The school is part of Brandeis University, a medium-sized private research university ranked among the most selective by U.S. News & World Report. Students have unsurpassed access to renowned faculty and a global network of over 50,000 alumni spanning 160 countries.

Program Offerings

The International Business School offers four master's degrees and three dual degree programs designed to prepare students for competitive careers in analytics, business, economics and finance. Students master global fluency, which provides a firm grasp of cultural nuances; recognition of the interplay of economic, political and social forces; an understanding of the dynamics of cross-border commerce and access to opportunity in volatility across global markets. Students can complete these degrees on a part-time or full-time basis.

The school offers accelerated degree options, including an Accelerated MA program for students who have studied business or economics at a U.S. college or university, and a one-year Accelerated MBA program designed for students with substantial work experience and relevant transfer coursework.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

This innovative one- or two-year degree lets students choose from five optional concentrations: Finance (STEM designated), Data Analytics (STEM designated), Marketing, Real Estate, and Strategy and Innovation.

Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA)

The STEM-designated Master of Science in Business Analytics program combines data analytics and related programming courses with training in finance, marketing and business dynamics. Students can complete the program in 12 or 16 months.

Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance (MA)

The STEM-designated two-year MA program enables students to delve into economic theory and finance, while mastering data analysis skills that are critical in today’s global economy. The program offers concentrations in Economic Analysis and Consulting, Data Analytics, Financial Economics, Marketing and Real Estate Finance. 

Master of Science in Finance (MSF) 

Students gain expertise in fintech, risk management, asset management, and corporate finance and valuation in this STEM-designated 16-month program.

MSBA/MA

This dual degree provides students with a unique blend of finance, economics and business analytics skills to pursue in-demand positions in careers including finance, consulting, data science and business analytics.

MSBA/MBA

This dual degree provides students with an advanced knowledge of data management, business analytics, strategy and general management to pursue leadership positions in career fields including consulting, data science, business and financial analysis, risk management, compliance, and marketing.

MSF/MBA

This dual degree provides students with advanced knowledge of finance, analysis, general management and strategy to pursue leadership positions in industries including technology startups, consulting and finance.

The International Business School has a worldwide reputation for academic excellence and ranks first among U.S. business schools for the percentage of female faculty (Financial Times). Our Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance (MA) is ranked third in the U.S. among pre-experience programs by the Financial Times. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is on the Princeton Review's list of top business schools in the world and has been for 11 years in a row, and the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program is ranked among the top 10 worldwide by TFE Times. Students learn from an international faculty of respected scholars and seasoned practitioners and study alongside students from more than 40 countries. Students gain real-world experience through internships and field projects, and graduate with a practical skill set and global perspective.

Global and Practical

Students may study abroad at one of 19 partner universities or participate in a global immersion trip, industry trek or international internship. Through the school’s Bloomberg Lab, students utilize the world-renowned financial, regulatory and market database that's used by virtually all major financial firms and organizations around the globe. They benefit from personalized career counseling and support during job and internship searches, which leads to excellent career outcomes.
