Cleveland Chiropractic College

At Cleveland Chiropractic College, students will be trained to become the kind of chiropractors they want to be. Job opportunities include positions as sports chiropractors, primary care chiropractors, wellness chiropractors, pediatric chiropractors, animal chiropractors, chiropractor/acupuncturists, chiropractic radiologists, and chiropractic researchers. A Growing Profession

The science, natural philosophy and time-tested art of chiropractic combine to make it one of the most rewarding -- not to mention most cost-effective and fastest-growing -- health care professions in the world. The Bureau of Labor Statistics 2014-15 Occupational Outlook Handbook states that for chiropractic, "employment is expected to increase by 15% from 2012-2022 faster than average".

A History of Excellence

For more than 8 decades, Cleveland Chiropractic College (CCC) has been the place to learn the science, philosophy and art of chiropractic. In fact, more than one in every 10 chiropractors practicing in North America is a Cleveland graduate. Cleveland is the only chiropractic college continuing under the leadership of a founding family member, President Dr. Carl S. Cleveland III.

Program Choices

CCC offers a 4-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree, as well as an accelerated program covering the same curriculum in just 10 trimesters. Cleveland isn't just about chiropractic -- Cleveland University-Kansas City offers a Master of Science in Health Promotion, a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, an Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences, and accelerated pre-professional courses that students can complete in less than 1 year.

Stunning Campus

The Kansas City campus sits on 34 acres in Overland Park, Kansas, an attractive, vibrant and safe suburban city recently rated as one of the top 10 cities to live in by Money Magazine. The campus houses classrooms, laboratories, a public Health Center, a library, a cafeteria, a bookstore, multiple student lounges and a student computer laboratory. Other amenities include the Cleveland Chiropractic College Fitness Center and Special Beginnings day-care center.

Broad Clinical Experience

The Cleveland Chiropractic College Health Center, located on campus, is the primary source of health care for many people in the Kansas City area, with thousands of patient visits each year. This means students benefit from a large and diverse patient pool and a wealth of clinical experiences.

Balanced Curriculum

In the same way the human body functions best when balanced and in harmony, your chiropractic education is a balanced integration of scientific studies and traditional chiropractic methods. At Cleveland Chiropractic College, students are educated not only to manage conditions, but also to care for people; not only to adjust the spine, but also to make recommendations about exercise, diet and lifestyle. The college's curriculum strikes a balance between chiropractic philosophy and science, tradition and innovation.

Hands-On Instruction

At Cleveland Chiropractic College, students will put health and healing in their own hands, so it should be no surprise that in their chiropractic educations they will begin true hands-on learning in their very first trimesters. All health care educational programs begin with the basic sciences of anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry because these are the building blocks of human life. What makes Cleveland's basic science education unique is that the college brings these building blocks to life by fully integrating the basic science coursework into practical, useful clinical applications.

At Cleveland, technique courses are the backbone of the chiropractic curriculum. And patient care is its heart. Each core technique has been carefully selected not only for its individual usefulness in chiropractic practice, but also for the way it fits with the college's other technique offerings. This curriculum design puts the best set of chiropractic tools in students' hands, giving them the skills and the freedom to choose the approaches that best serve each patient.

Outstanding Faculty Members

Students' Cleveland Chiropractic College educations are enriched by faculty members who bring experience, expertise, research accomplishment, compassion, and commitment to their teaching. And because there is one faculty member for about every 12 students, students will have exceptional access and support in small classes. While many faculty members maintain active private practices and are engaged in landmark research, their first love and first priority is teaching -- sharing the knowledge and experience they have gained in their careers. They take their training and students' successes personally. In addition to Doctor of Chiropractic degrees or terminal degrees in their areas of expertise, several CCC faculty members have diploma status in pediatrics, neurology, and radiology.
