The Nathan M. Bisk College of Business uses small class sizes and high-quality programs to provide a personalized educational experience to traditional students and working professionals. The Department of Extended Studies, housed in the College of Business, is focused on offering quality education for all students. Academic offerings include graduate degree and certificate programs at 10 US sites in 5 states and a Virtual Site. Degrees have been awarded to candidates representing the military services, federal and local government, and a wide variety of business and industry sectors.

The Master of Business Administration

The Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) is a 36-credit hour, graduate professional program that emphasizes breadth of preparation in the various competencies required of business executives. The MBA program is ideally suited for individuals who have career goals demanding a competitive edge of quality graduate education in managerial decision-making and entrepreneurial leadership. Career paths for individuals who earn MBA degrees vary since the program is suited for career advancement in the private, public, and military sector.

Master of Science -- Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The MS in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary, 30 credit-hour degree program targeting students who are innovators and critical thinkers. This program is tailored to take a business idea or product from vision to fruition. The integrated, hands-on approach allows a student to carry a project from course to course. This applied learned approach supports a progression from concept to invention with the potential for commercialization. Students come from a variety of backgrounds but share the desire to learn and apply the skills of innovation and entrepreneurship in both new venture and corporate settings.

Master of Business Administration -- Healthcare Management

Florida Tech offers a 36-credit hour MBA degree program with a specialization in healthcare management to students interested in acquiring leadership roles at healthcare organizations. Students explore many facets of the healthcare system, including legal issues, financial management, information technology, and planning and marketing. The MBA in Healthcare Management is available both on campus and online.

Online Master of Business Administration

Florida Tech's MBA program is available in a fully online format for students, existing professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in innovative alternatives to on-campus degrees. MBA students can tailor the program to their individual interests and employment goals by choosing either a general program option or from a variety of specialization programs. The specializations include traditional areas of study in accounting, finance, marketing, management and international business, and cutting-edge programs in project management, internet-marketing, healthcare management and information technology management. The flexibility of the online format allows the student the ability to earn an MBA in as little as 2 years while working full-time.

Online Master of Science in Information Technology

The Master of Science in Information Technology is an online program carefully constructed for the unique challenges of today's dynamic information technology environment. In addition to learning fundamental business applications, the student gains specialized skills in product management and systems administration specific to the IT industry. This combination of contemporary technical and management knowledge offers a specialized skill set in preparation for a professional career in IT.

The cybersecurity specialization for the online MS in Information Technology focuses on complex security issues and offers advanced knowledge in security models, access control, risk management, virtualization, intellectual property, incident response, and systems security.

Dedicated Faculty

The graduate faculty is comprised of dedicated educators, practicing professionals, and field experts. They have been selected for their ability to effectively educate adult learners and have been recognized for those achievements. For instance, Dr. Martha Sale received the Academy of Educational Leadership Outstanding Educator award. Dr. Scott Benjamin is a 20-year veteran of serial entrepreneurship and is the founder and CEO of Health & Radiological Services and Signature Properties. Dr. Henry Perez has over 25 years of international sales, marketing, and management experience participating in start-up operations and market expansion on 3 continents. Dr. Abram Walton is the managing editor of the International Journal of Innovation Science with new venture development experience. Dr. Michael Workman recently published Information Security for Managers through Jones & Bartlett Learning. Dr. Michael Slotkin is a well-cited economist in the southeast having expertise in regional economic issues, housing, eco-tourism and sustainability. Dr. Deborah Carstens has over 10 years of experience as a NASA engineer with expertise in project management and human factors.

Financial Assistance

Florida Tech offers a number of opportunities for students seeking financial assistance. Aid packages typically include grants, loans, scholarships, and work study opportunities. Eligible graduate students may apply for more than 14 fellowships and awards. The graduate research program on campus has seen an upsurge in proposals for funded research. Students with interest in innovative research opportunities may take advantage of those and related opportunities.
